I have not had all that much time to work on my jewels this week. I have been busy with the BEST football game -- Go Steelers!!! -- the family and work. I have completed a few simple items that I will be sending up to Ord, clip earrings! I guess some ladies have been asking for them, so I will give it a go... 

You know how painters go through a "blue period"? Well, I think I am going through a red or green period. Maybe it is a carry over from the Christmas Holiday or a heads up on Valentines and St. Pats. I am not sure why, but every time I pick up a tray I am drawn to those colors! 

Here are a couple of my "Green" items... and check it out, I have been able to create without balance! one side does not mirror the other... it was hard for me to do, but I have to say I rather like them...

Navy Shells

I have created a simple necklace on a sterling silver chain using a large focal shell dyed navy and small coin shells dyed navy and grey. $20.00 + shipping

Pearls on Gold

With this piece I wanted to create a fun look that the person wearing it could change as their day or clothing changed. The necklace can be worn in 1 to 3 layers depending on your neckline or style. I used gold link chain, gold bead caps and 3 different pearl colors: black/cream/taupe. $25 + shipping.

Pearls & Swarovski - Wedding Ensemble

I created this wedding ensemble for a friend last year. I used white pearls, red swarovski bicones with gold.

I created this pale blue choker and clasp from seed beads and thread.
It looks delicate, but will stand up to that special night out. $20.00 + shipping

Victorian Christmas Ornament

This Victorian Christmas Ornament I created with a friend was one of my first elaborate creations. The pattern was in a beading magazine and I think it is too pretty to put on my tree. I know my cats will destroy it in a matter of seconds!

Welcome to Karen's Jewelry Creations

I would like to welcome you to Karen's Jewelry Creations Blog. My name is Karen Premer and I am from Kearney, Nebraska. In May 2006 as a Master's graduation present to myself I went to a local bead shop to make a Mommy Bracelet and I have been beading ever since. Or at least I have been beading as often as I can after work, making supper, cleaning up, laundry.... you get the idea.

I create one-of-a-kind pieces using many different types of materials that I wear, give to friends and family or sell in 2 consignment locations in Nebraska; Sasha's Beads & Toggles in Kearney and Brown's His Side & Her Side in Ord. I would really like to expand my sales and by expanding my sales that will also help my husband NOT have reason to "complain" about my inventory of beads in my office!

I will be posting to my blog and adding photos of my past pieces, and any items I create along the way. If you find an item you like please let me know I do have a PayPal account created for any transactions. Also, if you would like to consign a piece I would love to work with you.
